The principle of recuperation:
When several people are in a closed room for a long period of time, the need for a constant supply of fresh air becomes essential. Under such conditions, it is necessary to extract the worn air from the room and replace it with fresh air in sufficient quantities to maintain the necessary amount of oxygen and to remove the bulk of the pollutants. When worn air is vented to the outdoors in an airtight building envelope, unwanted heat loss can occur. We can significantly reduce such heat leakage and the associated increased energy demands on the air conditioner by using an air-to-air heat exchanger, through which we can transfer the exhaust air and bring in fresh air at the same time. To achieve efficient extraction and distribution of different air streams, four air ducts are connected to the unit.
